About Sarah

Sarah is an Indo-Caribbean Canadian writer, lifelong traveller, and devoted admirer of the Concorde, the Airbus A380, Dreamliners, and, generally, any aircraft considerate enough to include a bar.

Her affection for planes with bars is partly philosophical: if the pilot is allowing passengers to stand at one, the aircraft is probably not about to crash. Having once spent more than an hour in crash position after losing both engines, she considers this sound reasoning. Her favourite A380, naturally, serves chocolate cake at the bar. Mostly. On one fifteen-hour flight from Toronto to Dubai, she ate enough of it that the crew gave her extra cake as she was leaving. This was excellent service. Carrot cake, and especially lemon cake, are less excellent.

Her work includes Kunti Muses, a reimagining of a pivotal moment from the Mahabharata, and Dharma, a science-fantasy trilogy about reincarnation, consequence, and gods who play dice for the universe.

She is less interested in easy heroes than in clever, complicated people trying to make decent choices when certainty is unavailable and every answer comes with consequences.
